The Final Debates at the Verbattle 2010 Junior State level Debate Tournament ended on a high note on Saturday evening 20th Nov, 2010. An unprecendented performance of conviction, deliberation, superquick thinking and wholesome appeal got the team from St. Anthony’s Public School from Hubli to win the Verbattle Junior championship this year, and take home a whopping sum of Rupees One Lakh cash prize.
Nikhil Gowda and Rajat B Goudar had several rounds in the final debates with the other two finalist teams and stood their ground on a positive note, not only appealing well to the highprofile set of judges but also the entire audience. The other two finalist teams, both from Bangalore, were Ankita Mitra and Ananya R Achar of ITI Central School, and Rashika Narain and Rebecca Mathias from Sophia High School.. know more...

Larger reach Verbattle is directly approaching 2500 schools and 1500 colleges this year inviting participants for Verbattle 2010.
Parents workshop Parents workshop is being held as an attempt to engage parents in this participative exercise. Verbattle has found the need to enlist support of parents of participats to enable the initiative to grow into a socially viable activity.
Editorial Board Verbattle now has an editorial panel set up to govern and manage content in the website. Mr. Vinayaka Ramakrishna has been appointed the editor and the panel will consist of a small group of selected students and teachers.
Verbattle is going National this year Verbattle Junior will be the first national event of Verbattle to be conducted in September 2010. It will be a large and unique exercise. Team Verbattle is looking for sponsors, supporters, volunteers, organizations and other interested like minded individuals to come forward and support this endeavour.
Verbattle Club Verbattle Club will be inaugurated on the 1st of August in Mangalore during the Zonal Clamber event. All registrations processes and setting up of units will be completed before the month end.
